Maybe I was swept away is an experimental short film that merges fun visuals with a surrealist story. It was created by @Panaviscope using shots generated by Sora. The story follows a protagonist who is starting to release vibrant balloons in heaven as a personal act of rebellion against the monotony of his city. However, his uncontrolled passion quickly leads to chaos, while the oversized balloons begin to collapse, provoking destruction and raising questions on the border between creativity and excess. With its aesthetic and delicate humor of retro inspiration, the film offers a poetic exploration of ambition, joy and involuntary consequences. Alex Duloz, alias Panviscope, is a visual artist, technologist and multi-instrumentalist from Geneva, Switzerland. Alex composes, sings and performs all the instruments on his songs and uses his 3D skills, classic animation, generative drawing and coding using JavaScript. This merger of technical expertise and creative art allows it to push the limits, using techniques such as depth mapping, granular synthesis and advanced tools of AI. The result is a work exploring timeless themes, mixing technology with nostalgia to create pieces that resonate emotionally while presenting advanced innovation.
