Alibaba unveils Accio: Its revolutionary B2B AI search engine

In a recent announcement, Alibaba Group unveiled its artificial intelligence-powered conversational search engine, called Accio. Aiming to establish itself on the global market, Accio is particularly aimed at merchants, promising to help them quickly and accurately find the products and suppliers they are looking for.
Accio is not just an innovation; it is positioned as the first AI search engine specifically designed for the B2B sector. Its testing phase in the “Find Factory” module of Alibaba’s international platform has already shown significant results, with an increase in purchase conversion rates of 20-30%. Since its launch, Accio has expanded its database to include hundreds of millions of products.
Currently, the PC and mobile web versions of Accio are available in five languages: English, German, French, Spanish and Portuguese. Although the mobile app is still under development, it promises to further expand the accessibility of the service. The project is led by Zhang Kuo, president of Alibaba International Station.
Behind this bold initiative, Alibaba Group’s AI team now has more than 400 members, led by Jiang Fan, Co-Chairman and CEO of Alibaba Overseas. The organization of this team is divided into two main branches: B2B and B2C, each under the supervision of dedicated managers, Zhang Kuo for B2B and Zhang Kaifu for Alibaba Overseas AlBusiness.
With Accio, Alibaba marks a major shift in digital commerce, providing merchants with a powerful, intelligent search tool that could transform the way they interact with their suppliers and products. Stay tuned for further developments in this exciting initiative!
